Burton Statement On Democrat Health Plan
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Rep. Dan Burton (R-IN-05) issued the following statement after Speaker Nancy Pelosi's private unveiling event for HR 3962, the Democrats' trillion-dollar government takeover of health care:
"The concerns of Americans have fallen on deaf ears. With great fanfare this morning, the Democrats finally ended their secretive negotiations and announced a health care plan that is very similar to the plan that America rejected months ago. In the coming weeks, I will rally my colleagues and constituents against Pelosi's 2,000 page promise of higher health insurance premiums, new taxes on families and businesses, rationed care and Medicare cuts for seniors, and unsustainable debt."
